Evidence Based Safety of Ayurvedic Medicines

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has taken certain policy initiatives to ensure the regulations of quality of Ayurvedic drugs and official formularies and pharmacopoeias are in place as guiding principle and directives for quality compliance. Further, considerable efforts have been put in by the CCRAS under Ministry of AYUSH in generating tangible evidences on safety of these interventions. The Ministry brought out this document focusing on safety of Ayurvedic metal and mineral based formulations to present the scientific aspects, relevance and rationale of unique interventions in the public domain.
