Inorganic Pharmaceutics in Ayurveda is concerned with the study of identification, preparations and analysis of the metals, minerals, gems, salts in ancient Ayurveda as well as the recent analytical techniques, chemistry and pharmaceutical research works on these inorganic Ayurvedic preparations. It is a subject of importance to the undergraduate students, postgraduate scholars and research fellows. Over the years, students of Ayurveda have been feeling the need for a simple book, yet in sufficient depth to know and to understand the ancient references and recent works on inorganic drugs used in Ayurveda. This book is an attempt to meet these objectives.
This book consists of 13 chapters:

- dentification of inorganic drugs and mineralogy of inorganic drugs used in Ayurveda

- the pharmaceutics of the metals and alloys used in Ayurveda
- the pharmaceutics of the minerals used in Ayurveda
- the pharmaceutics of the non-metals like sulphur and arsenic preparations
- pharmaceutics of the gem stones, pharmaceutics of the calcium containing drugs
- pharmaceutics of the calcium preparations
- pharmaceutics of the salts; pharmaceutics of the silicates
- and the legal requirement for the Ayurvedic inorganic pharmaceutics.
This book deals with the descriptions, identification, method of preparation, instruments used for preparation, methods of ancient and present analysis, and the legal approaches related to the inorganic drugs used in Ayurveda. Emphasis has been laid on the information and references of the recent research works on preparation and analysis of inorganic drugs. Hopefully, this book will provide the necessary information regarding the preparation and composition of the inorganic drugs used in Ayurveda to the students and the researchers.
