Description
This book includes eleven chapters and great care has been taken to collect all the necessary references from the Ayurvedic classical compendia such as Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita etc. Interpretations of the Ayurvedic references are done in simple but scientific language. The description of anorectal anatomy in Ayurveda is in the very diminutive form so a comprehensive knowledge is required before going to the management and para-surgical procedure of anorectal diseases. In this book, an attempt has been made to describe the complex anatomy of the anorectal region described in Ayurveda in the light of contemporary knowledge of modern anatomy. The high recurrence rate of the anorectal diseases always bothers the surgeons and physicians so the common diseases of anorectal a region like Bhagandara, Parikartika, Arsha are also described in parlance to disease in modern medicine. I hope this book will not only benefit the undergraduate and postgraduate students but also pave a path to the surgeons for their further understanding and treatment of anorectal diseases.
